Artist's Statement
I graduated in Architecture in 1986, before completing other graduate and postgraduate degrees. During my years in architectural school, I was inspired by the alchemical quality that great artists, architects and artisans embodied and subsequently brought to their work. Today much of my work is transformative in nature and serves to awaken the creative potential in others and has been supported by many years of inner work on myself. While I do not rely on my artwork to earn a living, in recent years, it has been a useful companion on my journey and an exploration into the more guarded and wounded parts of humanity, which require artful exposure, so our essential nature can shine in us more brightly. If you are interested in purchasing or exhibiting any of the artwork shown, please contact amy@johnhale.org
